Editorial: Echoes of the Greatest Story

  As a parent to three young children, I’ve been exposed to plenty of kids’ TV shows. Small dogs providing emergency services, a health clinic staffed by stuffed animals, a family of English-accented pigs. In shows, movies, and books, new trends come and go each month, and most of it is forgettable. I’m not opposed to fiction! But I know that the best stories reflect the Greatest Story. Some of the best and most memorable stories through world history follow a similar three-act structure. The story opens with Creation, introducing the characters and describing what this make-believe world looks like and how things work.
